The Centre posses and maintains a leak-tester instrument, which is used regularly across the beam-lines. However, in-order to support research internal to the Cavendish laboratory, the Centre is happy to lend the leak-tester to other users.
In support of the maintenance and replacement costs, using the leak-tester is charged at £50/day. A formal costing model is in-place, so that the costs can be charged to grants where possible.
